Red Tartan Picnic Basket with Blanket

The picnic basket, the stencil, cutlery, crocks and glasses are all absolutely what I’d hoped for.

On the other hand, the plastic rather than leather straps, as well as the synthetic rug, were disappointing.

Delivery was efficient and impressive.

This is a bit pricey, but a good quality picnic set. The plates are ceramic not plastic, the cutlery is stainless steel not rustable steel and plastic, and the glasses sturdy glass not plastic. The glasses are thick glass, which you want in a picnic set as plastic and normal glasses break really easily. All of these parts strap into the basket securely, so you can be sure they will not rattle around and break.

There is an insulated foil-lined bag for food as well as matching napkins and a blanket.

The bottle / can opener is a bit disappointing. It's stainless steel with a helical wire screw which is good, but the edges are square so it is uncomfortable in the hands. We have a spare with a wooden handle which we'll use instead. I'd like to have seen a stainless thermos in the set, but we can add one of these.

Very good quality set that should last for years.

I bought the picnic basket for my daughter & her husband for a combined 1st anniversary, & Christmas present. The basket came with a lovely ribbon around it. Such good quality, their initials on the lid makes it more personal to them. Lovely napkins, cool bag & blanket. They are so thrilled with it. Would definitely recommend
