Olympic Games Paris 2024
We love any excuse to get outside during the summer, whether it's a festival, a sporting event, a family BBQ or picnic by the river.
This year we are really excited for the Paris Olympic Games, which start today, with diver Tom Daley and rower Helen Glover chosen as GB's flag bearers for the opening ceremony.
Many venues across the country are broadcasting the action on large outdoor screens, which sounds like a great way to combine watching the Olympic Games and still enjoying spending time outside.
Team GB www.teamgb.com have announced there will be many official "Fanzones", which will be free to enter. Fans will have the chance to cheer on Team GB and watch all the action on a big screen, try out some olympic sports, join in on a Q&A and enjoy live DJ sets. All Fanzones have wheelchair access.
This all sound like great fun on a warm barmy evening (if we ever get any) after work, watching the games with a glass of wine and a picnic - with a basket from The Colourful Garden Company thecolourfulgardencompany.co.uk.
Best of luck to Team GB!
The Paris Olympic Games are on from 26th July - 11th August, with the Paralympics following on 30th August - 8th September.
